West Virginia state flag redesign
RedesignDesign and symbolism
West Virginia’s current flag is yet another seal on a bedsheet, though its white field and blue border carry significant meaning. Since the border represents the state’s decision to join the Union and break away from the Confederacy, I have retained that element. However, I have replaced the central seal with seven rhododendron flowers, the state flower. With five petals each, these seven flowers numerically represent West Virginia's admission as the 35th state.
