Current New Hampshire flag
New Hampshire's current flag is another seal-on-a-bedsheet, cluttered further by the surrounding ring of stars and leaves.
Design and symbolism
My design for New Hampshire uses the proposed state colors of red, orange, and yellow. I take inspiration from the Second New Hampshire Regiment, creating a red saltire and cross over a field split between yellow and orange. In the center, nine stars taken from the current flag sit at the center.
The Second New Hampshire Regiment
The saltire and cross motif is inspired by the design associated with the Second New Hampshire Regiment.
The ninth state
The nine stars represent New Hampshire as the ninth state to join the Union, retaining the ring arrangement of stars from the current flag, albeit smaller.
State colors
Red, orange, and yellow were proposed to be the official state colors of New Hampshire.
