Design and symbolism
Five blue and white stripes across the fly represent the Great Lakes. This layout replaces the cluttered original with a clean, geometric representation of Michigan’s most defining natural features.
I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands throughout Australia on which these federal divisions are drawn and pay my respects to their Elders, past and present.
