Illinois state flag redesign

Design and symbolism

Obviously the centennial flag is the inspiration for my redesign of Illinois. But I always thought 21 separate stars are way too busy.So I replaced it with 5 stars, the four smaller blue stars each with 5 points represent the other states. Then one six-point star in the middle, representing Illinois. The five stars represent the Illinois Confederation, also the 4 regions of Illinois (Northern, Central and Southern and the Chicago urban area), with the 6 pointed star representing Chicago area as a part of the state, but not the entirety of it.We could also have it represent the Great Lakes with only one star touching the blue stripe as only Lake Michigan touching the state.
