Queensland 2025 redistribution
The redistribution of Queensland officially commemced on 28 July 2026. Enrollment data is available within my interactive redistribution tool.
Proposed electoral divisions
My suggestion ensures all electoral divisions in Queensland meet the numerical thresholds for actual and projected enrolment, while adhering to community of interests criteria as outlined in the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918.
The numerical thresholds for this redistribution are:
- Redistribution quota
- Total electors: 3,694,620, divided by the number of divisions: 30 = 123,154
- Threshold for electors within each division (±10%)
- Between 110,839 and 135,469 actual electors
- Projected electoral quota
- Total projected electors: 3,975,780, divided by the number of divisions: 30 = 132,526
- Threshold for projected electors within each division (±3.5)
- Between 127,888 and 137,164 projected electors

- Gains Balmoral from Griffith, with an exchange at Mount Gravatt and Holland Park.
- Bowman
- No changes.
- Brisbane
- Loses Everton Park to Ryan.
- Capricornia
- Gains Banana Shire, Monto-Eidsvold, Rockhampton and surrounds, and part of Central Highlands from Flynn; loses Clermont to Maranoa, and Whitsunday and Mackay to Dawson.
- Cleary
- Gains Gympie from Wide Bay, the Sunshine Coast hinterland from Fairfax and Fisher, Woodford–D'Aguilar from Longman, and Somerset from Blair.
- Dawson
- Loses Annandale to Herbert, exchanges with Kennedy around Townsville, gains Burdekin from Kennedy, and the rest of Whitsunday and most of Mackay from Capricornia.
- Dickson
- Loses Kurwongbah to Petrie, gains the area south of the Pine River from Petrie.
- Fadden
- Gains Upper Coomera and Pimpama from Forde; loses Pacific Pines and Oxenford to Wright, and Labrador and Parkwood to Moncrieff.
- Fairfax
- Gains Noosa from Wide Bay; loses the hinterland and Nambour to Cleary, and Buderim and Mountain Creek to Fisher.
- Fisher
- Gains Buderim and Mountain Creek from Fairfax; loses Glasshouse Mountains to Longman, and the hinterland and Beerwah to Cleary.
- Flynn
- Gains Bundaberg from Hinkler; loses Rockhampton, Mount Morgan, Banana and Monto-Eidsvold to Capricornia, Central Highlands to Maranoa, and Gayndah to Hinkler.
- Forde
- Gains Greenbank, North Maclean, Logan Village, Yarrabilba and Slacks Creek from Rankin; loses Upper Coomera, Willow Vale and Pimpama to Fadden.
- Griffith
- Gains Fairfield, Yeronga and Annerley from Moreton; loses Balmoral to Bonner.
- Groom
- Gains Crows Nest from Maranoa.
- Herbert
- Gains Annandale from Dawson; loses Northern Beaches to Kennedy.

- Gains Maryborough, Cooloola, Kilkivan and Gayndah from Wide Bay and Flynn; loses Bundaberg to Flynn.

- Loses Bentley Park to Leichhardt and Burdekin Shire to Dawson; gains Kuranda from Leichhardt, Northern Beaches from Herbert, and Wulguru from Dawson.

- Gains Bentley Park from Kennedy; loses a small part of Kuranda to Kennedy.

- Gains Bracken Ridge, Taigum and Aspley from Petrie; loses Everton Park to Ryan.

- Gains Glasshouse Mountains from Fisher; loses Woodford to Cleary, and Narangba, Dakabin and Kallangur to Petrie.

- Gains Clermont from Capricornia and Emerald from Flynn; loses Crows Nest to Groom.
- McPherson
- Gains most of the Carrara area from Moncrieff and Mudgeeraba from Wright.
- Moncrieff
- Gains Labrador and Parkwood from Fadden; loses Nerang to Wright, and Carrara to McPherson.
- Moreton
- Gains Centenary suburbs from Oxley and Algester/Calamvale from Rankin; loses Fairfield, Yeronga and Annerley to Griffith, and part of Runcorn to Rankin.
- Oxley
- Gains Redbank Plains, Springfield and part of Ripley from Blair, and the Greenbank Military Reserve and Forestdale from Wright; loses the Centenary suburbs to Moreton.
- Petrie
- Gains Narangba, Dakabin and Kallangur from Longman, and Kurwongbah from Dickson; loses everything south of the Pine River to Dickson and Lilley.
- Rankin
- Gains Boronia Heights and Park Ridge from Forde, and part of Runcorn from Moreton; loses Algester and Calamvale to Moreton, and Slacks Creek to Forde.
- Ryan
- Gains Everton Park and Everton Hills from Lilley, Dickson and Brisbane, and Karana Downs from Blair.
- Wide Bay
- Abolished.
- Wright
- Loses Lockyer Valley to Blair, Forestdale to Oxley and Mudgeeraba to McPherson; gains Pacific Pines and Oxenford from Fadden, and Nerang from Moncrieff.
