I am a current employee of the Australian Public Service. This website is maintained in a personal capacity and does not represent the views of my employer, Services Australia, or the Australian Government.

I uphold the APS Values, Code of Conduct, and the responsibilities of an impartial public servant. This site complies with the Australian Public Service Commission’s guidance on personal use of social media, as well as Services Australia’s internal social media and public commentary policies.

I do not use this platform to promote or oppose any political party or candidate. Where political matters are discussed, they are addressed analytically, not advocatively, and with the neutrality required of my role. Electoral commentary focuses on structure and process.

As an Australian citizen, I retain the implied constitutional freedom to communicate on political matters, including those related to government and public administration. I exercise that right carefully, lawfully, and with full regard to my professional obligations.

Privacy Policy – divs.au

divs.au is a personal, non-commercial website. It exists to provide publicly available information about Australian electoral divisions. This site does not actively collect personal information from visitors.

1. Information We Collect

• No personal submissions: We do not have forms, accounts, or feedback tools.
• Technical information: Our hosting provider (VentraIP) may automatically log standard technical data when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and time of visit.
• Cookies & scripts: The site uses Leaflet and related JavaScript libraries to display interactive maps. These may store temporary data in your browser to make the maps work.

2. How We Use This Information

• We do not personally access or use technical logs unless required for troubleshooting, security, or improving the site.
• If in future we use analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics or hosting statistics), we will update this policy to explain what’s collected and why.

3. Sharing of Information

• We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
• Technical logs may be accessible to our hosting provider (VentraIP) for operational purposes.
• If required by law, we may disclose information to relevant authorities.

4. Third-Party Services

• Leaflet maps load from JavaScript and data files hosted alongside the site. We do not embed third-party advertising or social media trackers.
• VentraIP may process technical data as part of its hosting services — see their privacy policy for details.

5. Your Rights

If you are in a jurisdiction with data protection laws (e.g. GDPR), you may have rights to request access to or deletion of personal data. Contact us at the email below if applicable.
